2013 iiate Conference Wrap-Up - Dalmau Designs
Matthew recently attended the iiate Conference 2013 in Sydney.
iiate is the Institute of Industrial Arts Technology Education.
They provide professional leadership for Technology Education in NSW schools.
This year’s conference was themed “Understanding Industry & Technology through Education” and a number of workshops piqued our interest: some of which were updates on the development of the Australian Curriculum (Technologies F-10), ways to engage lower achieveing students and BYOD.
The passion of the teachers who attended was great to see and many new connections were made. Many teachers were keen to show student’s work to Matthew on their phones, and were also interested in our range of furniture systems and how they would benefit teaching and learning in their schools.
